Fire Prevention & Safety

One of our goals here at North Spartanburg is to work with the citizens of our district to create a community that is as safe as possible. We believe that fires, injuries, and fatalities can be reduced through proactive engagement and education. To accomplish this, we offer multiple programs that address specific needs. Below are links to multiple items providing information on how we do this. Each link not only has information about the program but also a form that you may fill out to contact a member of our administration for further assistance. If you have a specific request that is not addressed on this page, please reach out to us at 864-578-1616. We are always happy to assist residents within our district with safety and prevention problems along with our businesses through our Fire Marshall Program.

FIRE SPREADS FAST!

Smoke Alarm Request

One of the many services that we provide to our citizens is the installation of free smoke alarms in their homes. These smoke alarms are provided to our community through a federal grant and are installed in accordance with the recommendations made by the National Fire Protection Association. If you are a member of our district and are in need of a smoke or Carbon Monoxide alarm, please complete the form below and we will contact you to provide more information and schedule a date and time!

Car Seat Program

As an organization that takes the safety of our community, and of the people who travel within it, very seriously, we offer free car seat inspections. If you have any questions or concerns with the current installation of your child's car seat or booster seat, we are happy to help. The majority of our staff holds National Child Passenger Safety Certification through Safe Kids Worldwide, so you can rest assured that your child will leave as safe in their seat as possible. For more information or to schedule an appointment with us please call us at 864-578-1616 or complete the form below.

If you need general information or have questions about SC state law regarding child passenger seats, more can be found at the SC Department of Public Safety's Child Passenger Safety website.
